Functional Support TeamAnthony O’Shannessy - National Finance DirectorAnthony has been O’Donnell Griffin’s National Finance Director since 2004 and he is also the Australian Finance Director for ODG’s parent company, Norfolk Group. Anthony started his career in a chartered accounting firm specialising in taxation before joining ABB where he worked at both corporate and operational levels in Australia and Europe. From 2004, Anthony was involved in the successful transition of O'Donnell Griffin into the Norfolk Group and has held the Australian Finance Director’s role for the Group as well as the responsibilities for the overall financial activities of O’Donnell Griffin.Anthony holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (Accounting) and is a Fellow CPA and graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors..
Craig Golds - National HR & IR ManagerCraig has been O’Donnell Griffin’s National HR & IR Manager since 2005 when he joined the company. He has been working in the Human Resources field since the late eighties for a number of large manufacturing, construction and FMCG companies in both state based and national roles.Craig started his career path as an apprentice panel beater, working within the motor vehicle trade for a number of years before changing tack and pursuing a teaching degree and majoring in adult education.He has worked in both Technical Education and Correctional Services for over 10 years. During this period he also returned to studies part time and gained a Degree in Business Management.
Enrico Pecora – National Operations ManagerEnrico has been O’Donnell Griffin’s National Operations Manager since 2004. He joined the combined electrical/mechanical construction businesses that today are O’Donnell Griffin and Haden.He started his career as a control systems engineer, then shifted to electrical contracting work on brewery and petrochemical sites in Sydney before moving to work on resources projects in Western Australia.Enrico has held State and Operations Manager positions in the Motor Yacht industry before living and working in Kuala Lumpur. On returning to Australia, he was an Engineering Manager in electrical contracting and control systems.Enrico holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from UNSW and an MBA (Exec). degree.
David Edwards – National HSEC ManagerDavid has been O’Donnell Griffin’s National Manager HSEC since 2005. He is responsible for the overall management of the company’s HSEC strategy and initiatives, working closely with business unit managers and staff to ensure sound application of HSEC procedures and practices. This also involves the communication and implementation of HSEC across the company as well as workers compensation insurance and injury claims management and a constant monitoring and revising of HSEC policies and procedures moving toward industry best practice.David started his electrical apprenticeship with O’Donnell Griffin in 1979 and then moved to direct and manage his own successful electrical contracting business for 7 years. He later returned to O’Donnell Griffin and has progressed through management and operations management roles in the electrical and electronic communications sectors.
Paula Downing – National Marketing and Communications ManagerPaula has been O’Donnell Griffin’s National Marketing and Communications Manager since 2005. She is responsible for the national development, direction and implementation of the electrical and communications division's marketing strategies towards the achievement of short and long-term business objectives and future growth.Paula started her career in marketing, sales and business development in South Africa before bringing these skills to Australia in 1997 where she held senior positions for enterprise level Software and Services companies. She ran her own business communications, coaching and consulting service in Sydney before joining O'Donnell Griffin in WA in 2004. Paula holds an ND in Marketing and Sales Management from Witwatersrand Technikon, South Africa and has successfully completed a series of professional development courses in human relations, communication and customer relationship management.
Electrical and Communications Divisional Management TeamDave Howe – State Manager VictoriaDave has been O’Donnell Griffin’s State Manager, VIC since 2004. He joined the company 25 years ago as an apprentice electrician in 1982.After completing his apprenticeship in 1986, Dave has steadily progressed through a series of increasing senior roles such as Foreman, Project Manager/Supervisor, Installations Manager, Victorian Service & Installations Manager leading to his current position as Victorian State Manager.Dave has successfully completed a series of professional development courses in business management and development, estimating and contract administration as well as achieving industry accredited qualifications.
Phil Tilden – State Manager New South Wales / Austrailan Capital TerritoryPhil has been O’Donnell Griffin’s State Manager, NSW & ACT since 2004. He joined the company in 1994 as a casual electrician and has held a range of evolving and dynamic positions from Project Manager of several ventures within BHP and North Parkes Mine to Management roles with ODG Wollongong, NSW Industrial and NSW Installations.Phil’s started his career as an Electrical Fitter Mechanic apprenticeship and he has developed extensive experience in major NSW water treatment plants and sewer diversion schemes, technical service maintenance, and a variety of other senior roles in light, commercial and heavy industrial projects.He has successfully completed a series of professional development courses in business management and development, as well as achieving industry accredited qualifications.
Richard Lane – State Manager South Australia and Northern TerritoryRichard has been O’Donnell Griffin’s State Manager, SA since 2002. Within 12 months in this role, Butterworth Electrical was added to the ODG stable and Richard’s role evolved from a 70 member staff operation to 170.He joined the company in 1997 as Contracts Manager for the Industrial Installations and Switchboard departments.Richard started his career with an Electrical Apprenticeship at BHP Whyalla, developing and adding to his range of skills as a CAD draftsman and electrical design technician. He was also involved in the manufacture and installation of coal ash analysis equipment, responsible for the commissioning and calibration of projects in Hunter Valley (NSW), Central QLD, WA and USA.He has successfully completed a series of technical and management development courses including a Diploma in Business Management. Richard is also a licenced nucleonic isotope handler.
Rod Evans – State Manager Western AustraliaRod has been O’Donnel’s Griffin State Manager, WA since June 2006 and is responsible for the West Australian branch of ODG.Since 1995, Rod has held a series of senior positions throughout South East Asia and Japan before returning to Western Australia and his current position at O’Donnell Griffin.Rod joined the company in 1972 as an apprentice electrician in Sydney before transferring to Perth in 1978. He then joined Ralph M Lee (RML) as an electrical quantity surveyor and estimator before being promoted to Commercial Manager in 1982, working extensively in the refinery and mining industries.Rod started his management career at RML and continued in that role for a decade, particularly in the evolving Commercial Divisions on a variety of major projects throughout Western Australia. He rejoined ODG in 1995 as President/Director of ODG/Wormald Indonesia then moved on to Malaysia. In 2001 he transferred to Nippon Dry Chemical, a fire and security business in Japan as Country Manager/Executive.
Vic Gasparrini - State Manager QueenslandVictor has been O’Donnell Griffin’s State Manager, QLD since 2003. He joined the company in 1988 on the Northwest Shelf Project in WA.In 1990, he was a member of the team that pioneered the move into Asia with ODG’s first project at the KPC Coal Plant site in Kalimantan, Indonesia. After a succession of site and branch-based roles, Victor was appointed as General Manger, ODG Wormald, Indonesia overseeing 4 major operating divisions including electrical, traffic & security integrated systems, fire management systems & equipment and security.Victor has progressed through a series of increasing senior roles such as Planner, Supervisor and Managerial positions by merit of commitment and a vault of invaluable experience.
Les Cate – Business Manager WF Energy ControlsLes has been the Manager of O’Donnell Griffin’s specialist manufacturing business, WF Energy Controls, since 2002. He joined the company in 1987 as an electrical design and construct engineer, working on projects for Colgate Palmolive, CSR and Kimberly Clark.Les completed his traineeship in both telecommunications and utilities electrical distribution in New Zealand before emigrating as an electrical designer and working with major engineering companies and consultants in the UK and Australia.With 35 years of experience in electrical and communications environments, Les has worked on major projects with industry groups ranging across commercial, industrial, manufacturing and railway signalling projects, to multiservices management projects with Optus and Telstra. Les also worked on the challenging fire services systems for HMAS Manoora and HMAS Kanimbla prior to their recent deployment to active service.Les has also held business unit management roles in the corporate environment for 15 years overseeing and managing successful company rollouts and developments.
Industry Solutions ManagersFrancis Dwornik – Industry Solutions Manager - TransportFrancis has been O’Donnell Griffin’s Industry Solutions Manager - Transport since 1999. He is responsible for the direction of the company’s major railway projects in Australia.He started his career as a telecommunications engineer in 1974. In 1982, Francis joined GEC railway Signalling Division and was involved in many projects in the Rail Industry until 1999.Francis has been a member of many multi-disciplined teams for major infrastructure and industrial projects including Northern Suburbs Transit System Proposal (WA), South-West Metropolitan Railway Proposal (WA) and the Parramatta-Chatswood Rail Link Proposal (NSW). He is instrumental in securing and overseeing major rail and transportation projects for O’Donnell Griffin
Andrew Cross – Industry Solutions Manager – Power and ServicesAndrew was appointed O’Donnell Griffin’s Industry Solutions Manager, National Service/Power in June 2006, returning to the company after 4 years of senior management positions within the Electrical Engineering and Communications industry.Andrew’s responsibilities include working with the ODG Business Managers throughout Australia in the ongoing development of their Service and Power Business Units. This involves the development of business strategies, preparation of business cases and the ongoing development of business growth activities. He is also involved in the specific identification and development of new business opportunities including the exploration of existing and new industry sectors to determine potential growth and opportunities for the ODG Group.He started his career as an electrician and CAD Design Draftsman (Electrical) and has steadily progressed through a series of increasingly senior roles in design and technical services provision as well as Management and Senior Management responsibilities. Andrew holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Adelaide University as well as Graduate & Professional Certificates in Management, an Associate Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Electrical Technicians and Trades Certificates.
Lou La Delfa– Industry Solutions Manager – Commercial FacilitiesLou has been O’Donnell Griffin’s National Industry Solutions Manager since January 2006. He is responsible for relationship management and business development and growth in the commercial assets market sector. Lou has over 20 years experience in the service industry and management roles across a range of industries such as finance, hospitality, horticulture, and defence garrison support. He has also held facility and project management positions with large organisations and alliance contract management experience in a multiservice environment, bringing 21 companies together under one umbrella and operating as a single entity.His vast experience in client relationship and people management skills has contributed to the creation and sustainability of manageable working environments, leading to the seamless transition and continued service provision within ODG and the Commercial divisions. Lou’s holds qualifications in Business & Finance, postgraduate Marketing, Tourism & Hospitality studies as well as a Certificate of Graduation in the Defence Industry Study Course (D.I.S.C.).
Brett Wong – Business Manager Diverse Data CommunicationsBrett has been the Business Unit Manager of Diverse Data Communications since 2001. He is responsible for the effective management of the national Diverse data Communications Business.He completed his electrical apprenticeship in 1979 and has steadily progressed through a series of increasing senior roles with companies such as Kilpatrick Green, Diverse Computer Services and C & G Group as General Manger, returning to DDC to take up his current position.Brett has been the Project Manager on a series of major works including the provision of electrical services to the Australian Defence Force Academy, Snowy Mountains Ski-tube Tunnel and SMHEA Headquarters building; Electrical and Communications services to the Australian War Memorial and Communications Services to the Administration Building in the Parliamentary triangle.Brett is a licenced Electrical Mechanic with a Certificate in Project Management and Contract Law as well as an accredited Communications Designer.
Glen Lance – Business Development Executive
Glen rejoined Diverse in February 2007 in the newly created position of Business Development Executive. In this national role, Glen will report to the Diverse Data Communications Business Manager and will primarily be responsible to develop, maintain and drive the company’s strategic direction and focus in communications and related industries.
Glen began his association with Diverse in 1994 when he joined the company as the Sales Manager.
In the years to follow, he held a number of key positions within the Communications industry. He was the State Manager in the ACT for Integ Communication Solutions Pty Ltd as well as the ACT and QLD State Manager for Logicalis Limited.
In addition, Glen was a member of the Standards Australia Information Technology Committee and served as it Deputy Chairman from 1997 till 2000.
