General Manager, Diverse Data Communications

Alan Timmins

Alan joined Diverse Data Communications in 2008, from a GM role with Rivercorp. Prior to this he had worked as National Marketing Manager for MM Cables, GM Distribution for Madison Technologies and cites one of his greatest work achievements as the role he played as National Sales and Marketing Manager for Belden, in growing what was originally a $6m distribution-ony business into a $92m manufacturing and distribution operation in less than three years.

The opportunity to grow a segment of a business that clearly has genuine potential, within a large corporate environment, was what originally attracted Alan to Diverse, who explains: 'My aim is to plan and steer the stragetic direction and growth of Diverse towards becoming a truly outstanding communications company. We have had a number of good wins recently: one with inTACT and the ACT Government; a national data cabling opportunity with Coles and another 3-year contract with Healthscope. If we continue to bring clients in of this calibre then I should be able to reach my goal even quicker than planned.'
